Shri Bharatbhai J. Gariwala

Dr. Bharatbhai J. Gariwala is the Chairman of Gujarat State Third Finance Commission, Govt. of Gujarat (Status : Minister of State). He is professionally experienced as a Professor of Mathematics at M G Science Institute, Ahmedabad, as Executive Director in Bank of India, Institutional Finance, Govt. of Gujarat, Gandhinagar and as Advisor to Chairman, Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd., Gandhinagar. Other Experience of Dr. Bharatbhai J. Gariwala include Member of the Cowlagi Committee to identify Backward Talukas of Gujarat, Govt. Director of many State PSUs on behalf of Govt. of Gujarat, Finance Department, Governing Council Member of AES since last 20 years, Trustee in many Philanthropic Organisations, Active Member of Bharatiya Janta Party since 1998 as State Executive Member, Chairman of State Economic Cell and Member of Party’s Core Committee for assisting in preparation of Union Budget during 1998-2002. In journalism he has contributed as an Economic Columnist in leading Newspapers since last more than 3 decades. He has written a large number of Books on Economics, Philosophy, Puzzles and many other subjects.
